SUMMATIVE 10%

Does summative have a big impact on my overall mark?
ABSOLUTELY YES. It is 10% of your mark.

  1. Point of Intersection
  2. Quadratics
  3. Trigonometry

What does summative look like?
It is a three question assessment. You will be given 75 min. It will take place TBD

Summative Study Sheet
You are allowed to bring in a study sheet for your summative.

What does it look like?
3 sheets back to back, ONLY A4 SIZE; therefore, 6 pages. Handwritten.

Can I type it?
No. According to varies research, you learn better by handwriting because your brain processes it slowly.

Instead of 3 sheets back to back, can I prepare 6 sheets single sided?

EXAM 20%

Exam Preparation
  • Choose one unit to focus on at a time
  • Compile a list – possibly together with a partner – of all topics studied in the unit: use your notes, the textbook, quizzes, tests, and the Unit Summary to help you
  • Concentrate your study efforts on topics about which you feel less confident and/or made errors on assessments, and spend less time (but not no time) on topics you understand well
  • Review your notes and the textbook sections pertinent to your areas of concentration
  • Redo quiz and test questions where you made errors
  • Do the following review questions, and possibly more than this
  • Make good use of class time and opportunities to get help from the teacher
